Author Jennifer R. Farmer has a new book out called “First and Only: A Black Woman’s Guide to Thriving at Work and Life,” a blend of self-help with strategy to offer guidance, wisdom and insight for Black women seeking to succeed at work and at home.
Before discussing the new book at the Black Women’s Leadership Summit on Saturday, July 30, Farmer joined Good Day Rochester to discuss tools offered in the book and how it peaks to the unique challenges affecting trailblazing Black women who navigate the dual role of being the first and only occupying their professional spaces.
